BSS Members OnlyThis page contains documents associated with the submission of dial sightings to the BSS Register. On PCs running MS Word users may convert either of the two Word documents into templates that may be called up and filled in on-screen. The documents are provided in two versions of MS Word (6/95 and 2002/XP) and as a PDF file for download by Macintosh users and those unable to read MS Word files. Whichever document you choose, you will be able to prepare a Fixed Dial Record to the format approved by the British Sundial Society. The subsequent document may then be printed and posted, with appropriate photographs, to the Sundial Registrar, Mr. J. Foad. PLEASE NOTE: Members should NOT send completed forms and/or photos by e-mail! To download any of the files below, RIGHT CLICK on the file name in the left hand column and then select the option SAVE TARGET AS to save the file to your local drive in a directory of your choice. After downloading the appropriate version of the BSS Data Entry Form, users with MS Word should then open the document and save it as a Template by choosing Save As and then specifying the format as a Document Template. Subsequently, this may then be accessed in the usual way by selecting New and choosing to have the new document based on the template just created. Macintosh users and those not running MS Word should download the PDF file version and print it off for manual entry. |
