SRN 0665 (Vertical) Aldeburgh, Suffolk
A painted plaster and stonework dial on the Moot Hall at Aldeburgh, Suffolk, a building which predates the sundial by some 150 years. As well as the ever-popular 'Horas Non Numero Nisi Serenas', Gatty tells us that the dial used to carry 'Pereunt et Imputantur', but this has been lost in a later restoration. Illustrated in Henslow, 'Ye Sundial Booke', with, unusually, an accurate background.
