SRN 2393 (Vertical) Great Ayton, North Yorkshire
Excellent 1771 dial on the Royal Oak pub at Great Ayton, N Yorkshire (SRN 2393). The motto 'Deus adest Laborantibus' (God favours the diligent) is perhaps an exhortation to the regulars! The motto is also found on the west dial on the church at Leighton Buzzard (SRN 1255)
