is a retired university lecturer and started designing sundials in
2002. He specialises in circular equatorial dials which the
observer aligns to the sun to read local apparent time. His models
are intended to be educational hands-on tools and work to a high
degree of precision. They are suitable for controlled environments
in schools, colleges, universities, learning zones, parks and
gardens. Apart from reading local solar time, one of his dials
also tells the hour for all other longitudes around Earth
simultaneously. Some of his dials can indicate the times for
sunrise and sunset. One dial also tells the hour with the help of
the moon or a star.
