  THIRD NATIONAL OPEN SUNDIAL AWARDS SCHEME 2005

These Awards Schemes, administered by the British Sundial Society, are designed to encourage the making and commissioning of new sundials of good design and manufacture, and to promote good quality restoration of existing dials.

Entries are invited for any type of sundial in the UK, portable or fixed, and installed or completed not earlier than 1st January 2000.

Entries should be made in one of the following categories:

(1) Professional
(2) Amateur
(3) Restoration
(4) Junior (persons under the age of 21)

More than one entry can be made by any entrant.

Group entries are acceptable in category (4).

One Major Award of £500, six additional awards of £150 and one junior award of a cup and commemorative certificate will be made. Awards will be presented at the 2005 Conference of the British Sundial Society.

To enter this important scheme please read the Rules and Conditions, download and printout the official entry form, then fill it out and send it with details of your dial to R NICHOLLS at the address below.
